Pixies present The Night The Zombies Came in Lisbon in 2025
The Night The Zombies Came European Tour arrives in Lisbon in 2025. The iconic Pixies will take the stage at Sagres Campo Pequeno on May 10 to present their new album The Night The Zombies Came, scheduled for release on October 25.

In 2024, Pixies will celebrate important milestones such as the release of their 10th studio album, The Night the Zombies Came, the 35th anniversary of the album Doolittle, which catapulted them to success in the UK, and 20 years since their reunion at Coachella. The band has remained more creative than ever, and this new album is proof of that. It features 13 tracks that explore dark and cinematic themes, mixing elements of folk, punk, and science fiction, launching into a unique style that combines gothic with sounds of westerns à la Ennio Morricone.
Vocalist Black Francis, known for his fascination with peculiar themes such as zombies and mysticism, describes the album creation process as a montage of fragments that come together to form a “musical film.” The band worked again with producer Tom Dalgety, who has been essential to their sonic evolution since 2016, recording the album in Vermont and exploring new sounds, such as the characteristic dryness of the drums, which distance themselves from broader sounds.
Moreover, the addition of bassist Emma Richardson brought a new dynamic to the group, with her vocal elegance and creative talent complementing drummer David Lovering. The renewed lineup, along with Joey Santiago’s experiences and technical evolution on guitar, reflects Pixies‘ ongoing quest for innovation while staying true to their iconic style.
On May 10, 2025, the band will perform at Sagres Campo Pequeno to celebrate all these historical milestones with the Portuguese audience.
