According to recent data, Sony’s PlayStation 5 has sold over 10 million units since its launch. And the new console managed to conquer this mark in fewer weeks than its predecessor PlayStation 4.
The data indicates that it took Sony 35 weeks, since the PS5’s launch, to reach this figure. The predecessor PlayStation 4 took a little longer, about 39 weeks.
The big rivals Xbox Series X and Series S from Microsoft managed to sell 5.93 million consoles. However, Nintendo’s Switch leads this market without much effort. It is estimated that Nintendo has already sold 88.5 million units of its console.
