The Polytechnic of Setúbal (IPS) is in progress in the 2nd phase of registrations for access to master’s and postgraduate courses, offering a wide range of options in the areas of Engineering and Technology, Teaching, Education, Sports, Business Sciences and Health.
In the area of Engineering and Technology, IPS offers eight master’s degrees, taught on the Setúbal and Barreiro campuses.
At the Escola Superior de Tecnologia de Setúbal (ESTSetúbal/IPS), Aquaculture Engineering and Management and Biomedical Engineering stand out, aligned with national and global strategies in the respective areas, National Strategy for the Sea 2021-2030 and objectives of the World Health Organization, both financed by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR). Furthermore, the training offer is also available for Production Engineering, Energy Engineering and Management in Industry and Buildings and Electrical and Computer Engineering.
On the Barreiro campus, the Escola Superior de Tecnologia do Barreiro (ESTBarreiro/IPS) offers vacancies for Conservation and Rehabilitation of the Building, with protocols with reference companies in the area, Civil Engineering and Biological and Chemical Engineering, three professional master’s degrees, which stand out for their flexibility and adjustment to the demands of the job market.
In the field of Education, master’s degrees are available to meet the needs felt in the area of teacher training, namely preschool education, with an internship in early childhood education, or master’s courses in Teaching the 1st Cycle of Basic Education and Mathematics and Science Natural in the 2nd Cycle of Basic Education and Masters in Teaching the 1st Cycle of Basic Education and Portuguese and History and Geography of Portugal in the 2nd Cycle of Basic Education. The master’s degree in Education, Artistic Practices and Inclusion is also available, an innovative training offer, financed by the PRR, which stands out for its interdisciplinary knowledge and understanding of the relationships between education, development, arts and inclusion, taught in after-work hours and in b-learning. Among the postgraduate courses offered, the Special Education course – Cognitive and Motor Domain stands out.
In the area of Business Sciences, IPS opens vacancies for a total of six master’s courses and three postgraduate courses, with offers available for Logistics and Supply Chain Management, financed by the PRR, which follows the best international practices allowing the consolidation of specialized skills and flexibility suitable for professionals in the sector, in a one-year training course, taught on a blended basis, or Information Systems Management, which combines the technological aspect and business management. In this area, vacancies are also open for master’s degrees in Accounting and Finance, Business Sciences, Marketing Management and School Management and Administration.
In the scope of postgraduate courses, Cloud Data Management and Visualization stands out, financed by the PRR, and carried out in partnership with the consultancy NTT DATA, in a hybrid model, with the intention of training and raising awareness of more professionals in this field, considered crucial for the future of computing and organizational activity. Places are also available for Public Accounting and Business and Corporate Finance courses.
In the field of Health, the master’s degree in Speech Therapy stands out, which differentiates itself by offering an innovative and adaptable study plan and the master’s degree in Advanced Physiotherapy Practice in Neurology, which works on a b-learning basis, with an individualized exit profile and flexible with the possibility of choosing between different learning paths, both financed within the scope of the PRR, vacancies are also open for the master’s degree in Physiotherapy in Musculoskeletal Conditions taught in partnership with Universidade Nova de Lisboa.
