Ponte da Barca offers laptops, tablets and internet access to students in need in the Municipality
The Municipality of Ponte da Barca, in partnership with ALTICE, is providing pcs, tablets with Internet access to students in need in the municipality.
This decision was made in response to the pandemic, so that these students can follow school activities at home during the school closing period, thus ensuring equal access to distance learning for all students in the municipality during the pandemic.
According to Augusto Reis Marinho, President of the CM of Ponte da Barca: “These equipment’s that are being distributed during the Easter holidays cover students from the 1st and 2nd cycles because we believe that all students in the Municipality should be treated equally and have the same rights and conditions of access to education. This measure follows a set of measures included in our contingency plan, in order to minimize the impact of this pandemic on the lives of our citizens”.
