Porto Book Fair returns to the Crystal Palace between August and September
The Porto Book Fair, which returns to the Crystal Palace Gardens between August 27th and September 12th, pays homage to the writer Júlio Dinis and has 78 participating entities in this edition, spread over 124 pavilions.
For this year’s edition, 82 entities submitted candidacies, of which 78 were approved among distributors, publishers, bookstores, bookshops, institutional structures, occupying 124 pavilions, to which one more is added, which will be for the use of the municipality.
Once again coordinated by the artistic director of the Museu da Cidade, Nuno Faria, this edition of the Porto Book Fair pays homage to the Porto writer Júlio Dinis, in the year that marks the 150th anniversary of the death of the author of “Os Fidalgos da Casa Mourisca”.
On the first weekend of “Warm Up”, on the 16th, 17th and 18th of July, between the spaces of Casa do Roseiral, Concha Acústica and Lago dos Cavalinhos, at Palácio de Cristal, the highlight of the organization goes to the concert presentation of the new album by Rui Reininho, “20.000 Éguas Submarinas”.
The 92nd edition of the Lisbon Book Fair, announced in April by the Portuguese Association of Publishers and Booksellers, coincides with the one in Porto, from 26 August to 12 September 2021.
