FC Porto won yesterday in Game for the Champions League, AC Milan with a goal by Luís Díaz, and they keep their dream of reaching the round of 16.
Luis Díaz was the hero of a game in which Porto won, but he could have scored more, given the numerous opportunities they had, Milan never managed to impose themselves at the Estádio do Dragão.
This was Porto’s first victory on the group stage, and it was very important for the Portuguese team to keep their hopes of reaching the last 16 of the millionaire competition.
The best opportunities were from Sérgio Conceição’s team, and Sérgio Oliveira one of the best on the field, in the first half the superiority of Porto is evident in the difference in shots, eleven for the dragons, one of the Italians.
Luis Díaz sent a ball to the post in five minutes, Taremi had several opportunities, but the Iranian, with shots not in line with the goal, with shots going sometimes out, sometimes intercepted by the opposing defence.
FC Porto returned to the second half with the same desire to win the match, but the efficiency did not improve, and Milan did remain without opportunities or capacity to create problems for the Porto team.
But the goal would eventually come, by Luis Díaz who on 65 minutes, shot placed and low, for the first and only goal of the match.
FC Porto maintains third place with four points, the same as second-placed Atlético Madrid, who lost to Liverpool at home and maintains first place, while AC Milan maintains last place in the group with one point from three games.
