The city of Porto and Lisbon are in the elite of the best European destinations included among the finalists for the World Travel Awards, in Europe’s Leading City Break Destination category. Voting runs until July 14 online.
Also known as the Oscars of tourism, the World Travel Awards celebrate its 28th edition this year and Porto and Lisbon remain on the list of present destinations. From this moment on, professionals in the area, media, and all consumers can vote to recognize the city again as the best urban getaway in Europe.
Competing for Europe’s Leading City Break Destination are the cities of Amsterdam, Athens, Belfast, Berlin, Copenhagen, Dublin, Geneva, London, Moscow, Paris, Rome, St. Petersburg, and Venice.
In another category, the Porto and North region compete for the Best European Heritage Destination award.
