Portugal beats Albania in the World Cup qualifiers

The Portuguese basketball team defeated Albanian by 70-62 in the first round of Group A of the first European pre-qualification round for the 2023 World Basketball Championship. By half-time the portuguese national team was equaled with the Albanians at 31 points but was the best team and left the court victorious.

On Monday, Portugal will travel to Minsk, to face Belarus, which won in Cyprus by 97-41, in the other Group A match. The teams need to stay in the first two places of the group to guarantee a place in the second pre-qualifying round.
