Portugal beats Norway and secures a place in the European futsal championship (7-1)

This Monday, Portugal won at Torre da Marinha, Norway 7-1, and stamped their presence in the 2022 futsal European finals, where they will defend the title they won against Spain in 2018.

At half-time, Jorge Braz’s team was already quietly 5-1 and extended the advantage in the second half. André Galvão, Afonso Jesus (2), Bruno Coelho, Tiago Brito (2) and André Coelho scored the Portuguese goals. Petter Hovik scored the only goal for the Nordic team.

Portugal will face the Norwegian counterpart again on Wednesday for the sixth and final round of the qualifying group.

Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Georgia, Italy, Kazakhstan, the Netherlands (organizers), Russia, and Spain also already have their place in the final stage of the competition, which will take place on January 19 and February 6 of next year, in Amsterdam and Groningen.
