Portugal with Hungary, Iceland and the Netherlands in Group B of the European handball Championship
The 2022 handball European, in which Spain defends the title won in 2020, is scheduled to take place between January 13 and 30, in Hungary (Budapest, Debrecen and Szeged) and Slovakia (Bratislava and Kosice).
In the 15th edition of the continental tournament, the national team will fulfill its seventh participation, after being present in 1994 (12th place), 2000 (7th), 2002 (9th), 2004 (14th), 2006 (15th) and 2020 (6th).
