The under-21 national team beat Liechtenstein by 11-0, at half-time, the result was already 9-0.
Portugal were favourites and showed that superiority on the field against Liechtenstein, one of the weakest teams in the raking, 11-0 was the final result, with the Portuguese team moving up to second place in Group D, qualifying for the European ‘2023, organized by Georgia and Romania.
In reality, the 11 could even have been five or six more, such as the number of goal opportunities wasted by Rui Jorge’s team.
Gonçalo Ramos, scored four goals, Fábio Silva two more, André Almeida, Fábio Vieira, Nuno Tavares, Tiago Tomás and Francisco Conceição were the remaining scorers for the under-17 team.
