Portugal debuts at the largest home textile fair in the world
Portugal, which has stood out in the home textile sector for its innovative capacity, will present, for the first time, a showcase of sustainable products at Heimtextil, the world’s largest trade fair starting Tuesday in Frankfurt.
At Heimtextil, which celebrates its 50th anniversary, 78 Portuguese companies will occupy 5,800 square meters of exhibition space. Portugal is the tenth largest country to exhibit in this fair and has grown, in the last decade, about 45% in occupied area.
Heimtextil is the most important home textile fair in the world. It brings together over 3,000 exhibitors from 65 countries, with over 67,000 visitors from 156 countries.
In addition, it has managed to be the most innovative country by providing a complete service.
The Selective Fashion Association together with the CITEVE technology center, which develops the “Green Circle” project, will have, for the first time, a stand of innovative home textile products focused on the principles of sustainability and circular economy.
Heimtextil will take place in Frankfurt between 7 and 10 January and will have the visit of the Assistant Secretary of State and Economy, João Correia Neves, on the 08th.
