Portugal is Futsal World Champion
The “Heroes of Futsal” are Portuguese, Portugal became today Futsal World Champion, and joined this title to that of European Futsal Champion, today we were big, very big, and we won the champion in the final, Argentina.
Portugal beat Argentina 2-1 in the final in a game between teams of great quality, in which Portugal also had the luck of a champion, with several wasted opportunities for both sides, with balls to the crossbar, fantastic defences, in a game in which the heart pounded from the first to the last second.
The game played in Kaunas, at Zalgiris Arena, Lithuania, Pany Varela scored twice for Portugal and Claudino for Argentina.

Ricardinho won the award for the best player at the World Cup, in what seems to be the last game for Portugal’s national team, Pany Varela received silver and Douglas Júnior from Kazakhstan received bronze, Sarmiento from Argentina received the award for best goalkeeper.
