Portugal thrash Czech Republic and lead qualification for the European futsal

Portugal, European champion, isolated himself today in charge of Group 8 qualifying for the Euro2022 futsal, when striking out the Czech Republic, 5-1, in Lodz, ‘home’ borrowed from the Czechs.

Due to the constraints caused by the covid-19, the meetings between the two teams took place in Poland, with the ‘quinas’ team winning the Czech Republic today, after the draw with three goals on Saturday.

Pany Varela (02 minutes), Afonso Jesus (09), André Coelho (12), and Bruno Coelho (21 and 32) scored for the ‘quinas team’, with Tomás Koudelka (20, penalty) reducing for the Czechs.

With this triumph, Portugal went on to add eight points, one more than the Czech Republic and Poland, while Norway, the last opponent of the Portuguese team, has not yet scored in a qualification in which the group winners and the six best seconds are determined.
