Portugal lost to Sweden in the World Cup pre-qualification (60-79)
Portugal lost to Sweden (60-79) in the fourth round of Group C of the pre-qualification for the World-2023. It was the first defeat of the Portuguese team at this stage.
Andersson (18 points and seven rebounds) was the highlight of a Swedish team that had four players above ten points. On the Portuguese side, only baseman Diogo Brito (12) managed to surpass this goal.
With this defeat, Portugal gave second place to Sweden. Both teams have five points and are in place to qualify for the next stage. Luxembourg follows in the last place with two points.
