Portugal is present for the first time at VivaTech in Paris

This edition of VivaTech runs until June 19 in a mixed system, between face-to-face events at the Porte de Versailles Exhibition Park, in the French capital, and virtual events, featuring speakers such as Tim Cook, Apple CEO, or Mark Zuckerberg, founder of Facebook. More than 13 thousand startups and more than three thousand investors will be at this fair.

In this event, one of the first of its kind to take place in the post-covid, Portugal will have a prominent presence with a startup competition, presence of startups in French stands and also the presence of the Secretary of State for Digital Transition, André de Aragão Azevedo, in Paris.

In order to promote national startups, three months ago AICEP launched a competition for 25 Portuguese companies in order to take six finalists to Paris. In virtual format, these six companies will be able to speak on Friday about their product at a mixed event dedicated to Portugal.

The finalists in this competition are mainly linked to health, such as a iLoF – Intelligent Lab on Fiber, Knok Healthcare and BestHealth4U, but also from the maintenance and traffic management sector of bridges such as MATEREO, art management and organization of exhibitions such as Art Curator Grid and artificial intelligence like Didimo.
