Portugal loses to Turkey in the European Volleyball Golden League
Turkey, which after five games leads undefeated in group C and has already guaranteed their presence in the ‘final four’ of the competition, in which they will defend the title, found resistance only in the first half and won by 30-28, 25-16 and 25-16.
At the start of the last round, to be played on Sunday, the Portuguese team follows in the last position of group C, with three points. Unbeaten Turkey leads with 15, followed at a distance by the Czech Republic, with seven, and Belarus, with five.
The Turkish team, holder of the trophy it won in 2019 (in 2020 the competition did not take place due to the covid-10 pandemic), has already guaranteed qualification for the ‘final four’, taking place in Belgium, on June 19 and 20 , with the home team and the winners of the three groups.
