Portugal was the fifth finalist announced, at the ceremony that also saw Albania, with the theme ‘Karma’, Serbia, with ‘Loco Loco’, Bulgaria, with ‘Growing Up Is Getting Old’, Moldova, with ‘SUGAR’, Iceland, with ’10 Years’, San Marino, with ‘Adrenaline’, Switzerland, with ‘Tout l’Univers’, Greece, with ‘Last Dance’, and Finland, with ‘Dark Side’.
In the first semifinal, on Tuesday, qualified ‘Discoteque’, from Lithuania, ‘Russian Woman’, from Russia, ‘Voices’, from Sweden, ‘El Diablo’, from Cyprus, ‘Fallen Angel’, from Norway, ‘The Wrong Place’, from Belgium, ‘Set Me Free’, from Israel, ‘Mata Hari’, from Azerbaijan, ‘Shum’, from Ukraine, and ‘Je Me Casse’, from Malta
Thus, 26 countries compete in the final: ten chosen on Tuesday, during the first semifinal, another ten selected today, and six that have direct entry, the so-called ‘Big Five’ (France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the United Kingdom) and the host country (Netherlands).
