Portugal qualify for World Cup
With a victory over Spain on penalties the Portuguese beach soccer team qualified to separate the finals of the World Cup.
Portugal played with Spain for the last European wave, in a ‘playoff’ between the third qualifiers of the two groups in the second qualifying round, and only the penalties were resolved after a 5-5 draw in extra time.
A game in which Portugal recovered several times from disadvantages, coming out at a disadvantage in the first and second periods, with the result 2-1, and the third to draw four goals.
In penalties, Portugal won goalkeeper Elignton Andrade, with two saves in the penalty shoot-out.
