Longevity Med Summit arrives in Portugal for the first time, and establishes a partnership, with the Municipality of Cascais, until 2025. On the 4th and 5th of May, Cascais will host the main event in the world in the field of longevity medicine.
The Longevity Med Summit 2023 will aim to discuss the importance of advancing the science of aging, regenerative therapies, and longevity with the aim of improving health and well-being, addressing at the same time the main challenges of a sector, considered one of the most promising in the near future.
The Longevity Med Summit aims to share knowledge with the medical community in order to help us live better and thus delay age-related health problems. According to Jorge Lima, founder of Unipeer Solutions and responsible for organizing the Longevity Med Summit, “The future of medicine is to treat diseases associated with aging. Targeted aging treatments can lead to healthier, longer lives. There is a strong emphasis on “Healthy Aging” and growing scientific interest focused on the areas of healthy human longevity. We want to bring together leading researchers and thought leaders on longevity, as well as industry leaders, private investors, and funds from around the world.”
The Longevity Med Summit will feature speakers including medical scientists and researchers such as Shai Efrati from the Sagol School of Neuroscience at Tel Aviv University in Israel, one of the world’s leading research scientists in hyperbaric medicine. Charles Brenner, president of the Alfred E Mann Family Foundation (Department of Diabetes and Cancer Metabolism) at the City of Hope National Medical Center, in the United States, is responsible for several studies on the correlation of metabolism, diabetes, and the appearance of cancerous diseases. Andrea B. Maier, Professor of Medicine at the National University of Singapore and a researcher in the field of gerontology and age-related disease prevention, has been responsible for several researches in the area of aging health and dementia.
In addition to allowing debate on the science of aging, regenerative and longevity therapies with the aim of improving health and well-being, the Longevity Med Summit 2023 reveals the main challenges that limit the development of these therapies, also offering participants, new business opportunities, networking with potential investors, conferences, Innovation Pitches or Mentoring actions.
