Portugal receives two European canoeing competitions in 2024
The High Performance Center of Montemor-o-Velho will receive the Europeans from juniors and under-23s, with the European sea canoeing to take place on Terceira Island, in the Azores, although this is still dependent on a technical inspection.
The junior and under-23 Europeans will be another event delivered to Montemor-o-Velho, which will receive the World Cups of the same age category in 2021 and 2025, after having already received the senior Europeans in 2013.
In addition to the European canoeists, Portugal will also host the World Cups in 2024, in Madeira.
The Portuguese Canoeing Federation has also applied to organize the European marathon, in Crestuma, in Vila Nova de Gaia, but ECA has not yet made a decision.
