Today Portugal suffered its first defeat in the Handball World Cup, losing to Norway, vice-champion of the world, by 29-28, in the first round of Group III of the main round.
After having won the three meetings in the first phase in the tournament being played in Egypt, Portugal lost to Norway.
In a match in which he reached the interval to lose by 16-14 and saw a shot, which would give him the tie at the last second, hitting the post.
After the first round, France leads with six points, two more than Norway and Portugal and four more than Iceland and Switzerland, with Algeria still at zero.
