Portugal finished the Marathon World Championships with 2 medals
Rui Lacerda and Ricardo Coelho completed their C2 race in 1:57.11 hours, and were 1.49 minutes away from the winners, the Spanish Manuel Campos and Diego Romero in the World Marathon Championship that ends in Romania.
Alfredo Faria and Miguel Rodrigues concluded the K2 race in 2:04.42, being 5.39 minutes away from the French Quentin Urban and Jeremy Candy, who won the distance.
Portugal leaves Pitesti, in Romania, with two medals, the gold of José Ramalho in the ‘short race’ of K1 and the bronze of Sérgio Maciel in the C1 under-23.
Portugal finished the World Championships in canoeing marathons with fourth place in C2 and 11th in K2.
