Portugal third in the fourth stage of the Sevens Grand Prix Series
The Portuguese rugby team finished third in the fourth stage of the Sevens Grand Prix Series in Lodz, Poland, by beating France 26-14 in the bronze medal game.
Earlier, the formation of the ‘quinas’ beat England 19-7 in the quarter-finals and then fell to the semi-finals against Germany, who won 14-7.
Saturday, Portugal secured a place in the quarterfinals when they finished the group stage as the second best third, losing 15-14 to Spain, beating Italy 19-7 and falling to Ireland by 35-12 in the Group W.
In previous stages, the ‘wolves’ had been eighth in Russia, fifths in France and quarters in England.
