Portugal win second U-17 qualifying victory

The Portuguese U-17 team beat Poland 2-1 today and reached their second win in two games in the elite qualifying round of the category.

With the winner of each of the eight groups securing a place in the finals of the European Championship, which will take place between 03 and 19 May in the Republic of Ireland, Portugal has added six points, against three of Russia, who still play today against Scotland, host of Group 6.

Overall, we were very good, it was a very demanding game, and now we are waiting for the results to see our position, we are already thinking about the next game and we are looking forward to another victory,” said selector Emílio Peixe.
