Portugal started winning on its debut at the 2021 World Cup, a sporting event in which the National Team participates for the fourth time.
Paulo Jorge Pereira’s men triumphed by 25-23, in a match in which they reached the break with a partial result of 11-10. During the first half the difference in the scoreboard was never more than two goals, for any of the sets, but in the complementary stage, in which Portugal always remained in front, the Portuguese advantage reached five clear shots to the biggest.
Recall that in the other Group F game, Algeria defeated Morocco 24-23, however, at the break the Moroccans won 15-8 and took the lead at the last minute, but ended up losing the match.
