Portugal with Kosovo, Luxembourg and Cyprus in qualifying for the women’s European 2022

The women’s handball team will compete in the first qualifying phase for the European2022 with the counterparts of Kosovo, Luxembourg, and Cyprus.

Portugal will play the first qualifying round for the European2022 from May 31 to June 06 and only the triumph in the group guarantees the presence in the second, to dispute for 24 selections, distributed by six groups of four.

In addition to group A of Portugal, Greece, Italy, Bosnia-Herzegovina, and Latvia are part of group B, and the Faroe Islands, Israel, and Finland are group C, with only three selections.

The second phase already includes the Netherlands, Russia, France, Denmark, Spain, Sweden, Germany, Romania, Serbia, Hungary, Croatia, Poland, Czech Republic, Austria, Belarus, Switzerland, Slovakia, Iceland, Turkey, Lithuania, and Ukraine, according to the ‘ranking’ of the selections and positions in the European2020.

The European2022, taking place from 04 to 20 November 2022 and disputing for 16 countries, already registers the presence in the final phase of four teams, the hosts Slovenia, Macedonia, and Montenegro, as well as the European champion in title Norway.
