Portuguese bartenders compete for the best in the world title
Eight Portuguese bartenders will be presenting their cocktails at Rémy Martin’s Bartender Talent Academy with the hope of being crowned one of the best in the world working with this drink.
Aimed at those who like challenges, lovers of spirits and those who have a talent and want to share it, this Rémy Martin initiative, which first arrives in Portugal, recognizes that bartenders are storytellers, artists, chefs. And is to explore and celebrate each of these strands that is intended with this competition.
The first phase of the contest, which will take place at the Ritz Four Seasons Lisbon on September 9, will decide who will represent Portugal in Cognac, between October 28 and 31, in an experience that includes an exclusive program with the opportunity to show the Creative communication and bartending talents.
At this stage, each contestant will have five minutes to show off their bartender skills and tell the story behind the cocktail presented to a jury of four experts including one of the International Ambassadors of Casa Rémy Martin and the luxurious brandy. This jury will evaluate the look, aromatic balance and intensity of Rémy Martin’s brandy from the recipe, the storytelling, ie the competitor’s ability to tell a story and make his dream, process, technique and knowledge known. of the brand and the cocktail world. Following the presentations of the national bartenders, it will be up to the jury to select the winner that Cognac will compete with other international bartenders in a unique four-day experience.
The big event in France will elect the best bartender in the world to work with brandy who will receive, in addition to the prestige this title brings, a monetary prize.
