Portuguese in the Top 50 of the finalists of the Huawei Next-Image Awards

The jury of the Huawei Next-Image contest has already announced its winners and, in the group of finalists, is a Portuguese image.

This year’s edition received a record number of entries, with participants from more than 120 countries and regions who published more than 1.19 million photographs, that is, 12% more entries when compared to last year.

The winners were chosen based on six categories, with three winners in the “Grand Prix” category, 15 elected to the “Winners” category, 50 finalists and five Honorable Mentions.

Each winner of the “Grand Prize” category received a $ 10,000 Next-Image creation fund, while those elected in the “Winners Category” received a $ 1,000 fund. All winners were awarded a Huawei P40 Pro.

The “Grand Prix” winners come from Denmark, Argentina and China.

But among 1.19 million participants from around the world, was the Portuguese Lídia Nunes Reis who distinguished herself among the 50 finalists. Lídia Nunes Reis, 41, a health professional, was one of the finalists in the “Faces” category.
