Portuguese olive oil receives gold medal in New York

The distinction comes from the New York International Oil Competition, the most prestigious olive oil contest in the world today.

The Zabodez durien olive oil, produced by Quinta dos Lagares, returns to win an important gold medal at the New York International Olive Oil Competition, the most prestigious olive oil contest in the world today.

Quinta dos Lagares is a classic Douro farm with a Pombaline landmark dating from 1756. Located on the left bank of the Pinhão River, in the village of Vale de Mendiz, the property covers a total area of 70 hectares, of which 26 are vineyards, 12 olive groves and the rest of the forest where Mediterranean species predominate, namely cork oaks, trees, and arbutus trees.
