Portuguese ophthalmologists attend group of 100 albinos in Maputo

A hundred Mozambican albinos will receive medical attention from ophthalmologists from Khanimambo, a Portuguese non-governmental organization (NGO) that began a visit to Maputo today, an official statement said.

The group of 100 people will receive glasses with ultraviolet protection, according to a statement from Maputo Central Hospital.

The mission is made up of Portuguese ophthalmologists, who, in addition to providing assistance to people, will support physicians at Maputo Central Hospital in technical aspects in the area of ophthalmology.

The mission of the Khanimambo organization ends on Friday.
