Portuguese Paulo Delgado recognized in New York gallery online contest
The painting ‘Lemons’ by the natural painter from Tomar, Canada since 2010, was recognized in the ‘Silver’ category in the international contest ‘Spring Edition Contest’ organized by Awesome Art Prizes recognized 10 works.
His work is based on the ethnographic of a recent past in Portugal that highlights the geometry of the background and the colors highlight the figure of the foreground and helps to convey the calm of small places.
The prize of US $ 2,000 (€ 1,310) will be spent on promotion services for the artist himself.
With an amateur painting career over 20 years old, Paulo Delgado explores African and Portuguese ethnography and more recently the aboriginal ethnography of the tribes of the west coast of Canada.
In 2018 two of the author’s works were chosen by the Canadian Society of Artists for an online Exhibition.
