After four consecutive titles, out of a total of five, the Portuguese team of priests is the ‘target to beat’ in the European futsal championship, but guarantees to be prepared to fight for the achievement of another trophy.

The competition called the Clericus Cup takes place between 17 and 21 February in the Czech Republic and brings together a total of 19 teams. In the Portugal group, in addition to the host team, are Hungary, Italy and Kazakhstan.

The Portuguese priests dominated the last four editions and, therefore, are now the ‘target to shoot down’ for the other teams, in a competition that has increased in level from year to year, with Portugal standing out.

The last preparation game was on Sunday, in the presentation match of the Portuguese team of priests, which took place in Montalegre, in the district of Vila Real. It was a friendly encounter with the parish priests winning 8-1 against a team from the municipality and local firefighters.
