Since 2016 winning the Portuguese public, Postmodern Jukebox are back in Portugal. The group will take the “Welcome to the Twenties 2.0 World Tour” tour this time to the Estoril Casino in the Black and Silver Room on 25 and 26 November.
Postmodern Jukebox shows feature a band of talented musicians, with a cast of upscale singers and many surprises guaranteed. As any fan can confirm, a Postmodern Jukebox concert is never the same, every experience is unique, with new songs and unpredictable combinations that add a unique twist to every performance.
The talented group is a new kind of entertainment, a kind of alternate universe in which contemporary pop, rock and R&B hits are reinvented in styles from several years, from Swing to Doo-wop, from Ragtime to Motown, or as their creator Scott Bradlee, “pop music on a time machine”.
The project, started by Bradlee in 2009, today has over 950 million views on YouTube and 3.4 subscribers on this channel, and has already garnered over 1.7 million likes on Facebook. The band performed at “Good Morning America”, topped iTunes and Billboard, caught the attention of NPR Music and NBC News and sold out hundreds of shows around the world.
For those who only know the Postmodern Jukeboxes of time-warping videos, the live show is an experience on another level. It’s a 1920s party that would make Great Gatsby proud, mixed with a bustling 60s night. This is surely a must-see show that promises to keep the crowd dancing nonstop.
