Prosegur Alarms has partnered with ANITA (National Association for Intervention in Transport and Autonomy) and will be responsible for the security of the Adapted Sports Club, created by the Association in Praia de Carcavelos.
This new space, inaugurated at the start of the 2021 bathing season, will be available throughout the year to provide people with reduced mobility sports experiences on the beach, such as adapted surfing, adapted SUP, adapted kayak, adapted seaside walks, sea bathing for people with disabilities and many beach games. These initiatives are free of charge, you just need to be an ANITA – IPSS member. To be a member, it is necessary to pay a jewel in the amount of €15 (single payment) and €2 monthly fee.
“This ANITA initiative will promote moments of great happiness for many people with disabilities, who unfortunately tend to have greater difficulty in enjoying these moments of leisure on the beach and elsewhere. Joining such an initiative and ensuring that everyone enjoys as much as possible, with the greatest possible security, is a source of great satisfaction for our entire team” comments Carlos Vaqueirinho, General Director of Prosegur Alarms.
ANITA began its journey in May 2008, with the ambition of strengthening support for people with reduced mobility, providing, through adapted transport, freedom, and autonomy for them, and restoring their quality of life by promoting their inclusion in society.
The Association seeks to make available all the resources at its disposal to mitigate the inequality of this minority in daily activities, providing an accessible adapted transport service, providing travel and sporting activities, both adapted, in order to provide extraordinary experiences for people with disabilities.
Despite the current pandemic situation and the challenges it entails, the Association does not intend to give up on its objective, considering this the ideal moment to demonstrate generosity, responsibility, and civic duty towards others, a vision shared by the Prosegur group.
