Pre-launch of the book “Viagens à Memórias de Portugal” by Alice Vieira and Nélson Mateus
El Corte Inglés, Lisbon
On July 26th (Friday), Grandparents’ Day, the book “Viagens à Memórias de Portugal” (“Trips to Memories of Portugal”), by Alice Vieira and Nélson Mateus had a pre-launch, in the Cultural Âmbito Room, at El Corte Inglés, in Lisbon.
The book has prefaces by Luís Marques Mendes and Afonso Reis Cabral and was presented by Luís Marques Mendes and António Sala. It will arrive at all points of sale on August 15th.

«Originally published in the weekly Sol, these chronicles dressed as letters have the gift of simplicity. It means that they also have the gift of wisdom. Without masking the themes of complex paraphernalia that so often serves to hide the essence of things, Alice Vieira and Nélson Mateus are amazed together, they rise together, and they marvel together. And always, between one and the other, we find counterpoints, twists and completed or contradicted opinions, which makes this reading a duet. The two voices dissociate in harmony.»
Afonso Reis Cabral

«A country is made of people. Some are more notorious than others. But all notable in the contribution they make to their homeland. In this book, the authors chronicle some good examples. Examples that need to be remembered and honoured. The culture of gratitude is, after all, a sign of maturity and superiority. We are only great if we know how to be grateful.»
