Pre-school reopens in São Brás de Alportel with new safety rules

Within the scope of the Deconfiguration Plan, pre-school education in the municipality of São Brás de Alportel reopened its doors on 2 June.

With the safety of professionals and children as a priority, the Municipality of São Brás de Alportel provided the testing of the human resources that will ensure this resumption of activities, with the collaboration of ABC (Algarve Biomedical Center).

The costs of conducting tests on COVID19 for pre-school professionals in the municipality, both in the municipality’s educational establishments and in Santa Casa da Misericórdia were fully borne by the municipality.

The effort to create safety and health conditions for all of them also motivated the adaptation of spaces, according to the recommendations of the General Health Directorate, with the support of the local Health Authority. The adaptation of pre-school establishments to this challenging reopening also included the acquisition of thermometers for regular temperature measurement.

As part of the project for the production of São Brasenses social masks, the municipality also provided the preparation of “mini” visor hats that are being distributed to pre-school establishments for use by children, when necessary, in their activities, in compliance with safety rules.
