UCCLA Literary Revelation Award presented at the Lisbon Book Fair

O Sonho de Amadeo“, by Leonardo Costa de Oliveira, the winning book of the 6th edition of the Literary Revelation Award: New Talents, New Works in Portuguese Language, was presented on 28 August at the Lisbon Book Fair.

The novel was published simultaneously in Portugal and Brazil, with the sponsorship of the Union of Portuguese Language Capital Cities and the Lisbon City Council, and the support of the 2014 – 800 Years of the Portuguese Language Movement.

Leonardo Costa de Oliveira, 38 years old, born in Paracambi, in the interior of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with a doctorate in Geosciences, is now making his debut as an author. “Could I also write a book? Create a story that could interest other people? Machado de Assis and Carlos Drummond de Andrade worked as civil servants… Maybe, from now on, I can be a geologist and also write. .. Why not?“.
