The Galician aRi[t]mar awards announced the ten songs nominated for Best Portuguese Musical Theme.
The nominees are:

- Ana Bacalhau – Não Vás Embora, Rapaz!
- Buba Espinho – Ao Teu Ouvido feat. Bárbara Tinoco
- Carlão – Mais!
- Carolina Deslandes – Saia da Carolina
- Luísa Sobral – Serei Sempre uma Mulher
- Maro – Oxalá
- Miguel Araújo – Sagitário
- Os Quatro e Meia – Na Escola
- Pedro Mafama – Preço Certo
The songs can be voted online until March 27th. In October, the Galicia Auditorium will be the stage for the award ceremony and for performances and interventions by the winners.
The aRi[t]mar Awards are created by the Official Language School of Santiago de Compostela. The project was highly successful in the educational community. It was later extended to many other institutions that promote the teaching of Galician and Portuguese using music and literature as a central element of the study offering.
The choice of nominees is made, at the beginning of each year, by a jury made up of students, teachers and staff from the Official School of Languages of Santiago de Compostela, as well as other sponsoring entities and centers. The winner of each category is chosen by the public, who can vote for three of the competitors.
