Mapfre Foundation Social Prizes have 120 thousand euros to give to people and entities with social impact

• MAPFRE Foundation annually promotes the Social Awards to highlight people and entities at an international level

Recognize the commitment, generosity, and solidarity of people and institutions that have carried out actions for the benefit of society in different areas: social, cultural, scientific, road safety, and health promotion.

This is the main objective of the MAPFRE Foundation Social Awards, a non-profit institution, which has 120,000 euros to highlight initiatives or people with a strong social impact.

The MAPFRE Foundation Social Awards, which are international in scope, are also open to Portuguese persons and entities. Applications close on May 31, 2023, until 23:59 in Mainland Portugal (11:59 p.m. UTC+1).

The Social Awards are divided into four categories and each of them is endowed with 30,000 euros: José Manuel Martínez Martínez Lifetime Professional Award, Award to the Best Entity for its Social Trajectory, Award to the Best Project or Initiative for its Social Impact, and Award Julio Castelo Matrán Insurance International. José Manuel Martínez Martínez Lifetime Professional Award
It recognizes professionals who, in addition to putting their careers at the service of society, dedicate their time and effort to supporting charitable causes. Last year, the winner was Ágata Ruíz de la Prada.

Award to the Best Entity for its Social Trajectory
It aims to recognize the work of institutions that have carried out relevant and high-impact actions in the social, cultural, road safety, prevention of involuntary injuries, or health promotion areas.

Award for the Best Project or Initiative for its Social Impact
Recognizes a relevant project or initiative that has been a turning point, from a social point of view, and that has contributed to substantially improving the lives of many people.

Julio Castelo Matrán International Insurance Award
The purpose of this award is to distinguish unpublished or recently published scientific works that contribute to the expansion of insurance activity in society and that promote economic stability and solidarity through insurance and social security.
