President of the Republic condecorated Eunice Muñoz on the day the actress turned 90

The head of State, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, decorated the actress Eunice Muñoz with the Grand Cross of the Order of Merit on the day of her 90th birthday, said the Presidency of the Republic today.

In the official page of the Presidency of the Republic, it is mentioned that Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa was present on Monday at a tribute dinner organized by the friends and relatives of the actress.

At the same dinner, on the day that the actress celebrated 90 years, the President of the Republic attributed “the Grand Cross of the Order of Merit to Eunice Muñoz for the admirable career of one of the most recognized and beloved Portuguese actresses.”

Eunice Muñoz was born in Amareleja, municipality of Moura, district of Beja, on June 30, 1928, and at the age of five she entered small pieces of music.

The actress has decades of work in Portuguese theater, television and cinema, being considered one of the best national actresses.
