Priberam revealed INSIGHT, an artificial intelligence platform that will support technological monitoring and horizon scanning processes, in helping to combat COVID-19.
The platform is used to index, filter and relate the available information about the disease’s developments, in order to support researchers, scientists, doctors and public decision makers about the pandemic.
It is explained that the INSIGHT platform allows exploring and relating tens of thousands of articles on coronavirus, through different views, such as “mind maps”, allowing to discover relationships between concepts. This provides researchers with better tools for systematizing knowledge to combat the pandemic.
INSIGHT is based on artificial intelligence processing technologies, more specifically natural language, machine learning and deep learning. It has the ability to capture, analyze, select and systematically disseminate information to support strategic decisions by a company or organization.
