PRIMATE: When the survival instinct is the only possible escape

Premiering today, January 22nd, in Portuguese cinemas, PRIMATE is an intense and claustrophobic survival thriller that pits a group of young people against danger in a scenario where there is no escape.

The story follows Lucy (Johnny Sequoyah), who returns home after her first semester at university and reunites with her family and her pet chimpanzee named Ben. What begins as a seemingly peaceful reunion quickly turns into a nightmare when, during a pool party, Ben is infected by a virus that violently alters his behavior. Surrounded and without a way out, Lucy and her friends are forced to improvise survival strategies in a desperate race against time.

Designed for the big screen, the film builds a suffocating atmosphere and a growing pace, keeping the viewer in a permanent state of alert until the very last moment.

PRIMATA is now showing in Portuguese cinemas, distributed by NOS Audiovisuais.

Synopsis:

In PRIMATA, a group of friends’ tropical vacation transforms into a terrifying primal tale of horror and survival.
