Prime Video presents the documentary MARIA in Lisbon
The documentary about the life of Maria Cerqueira Gomes is now available
Prime Video held the pre-premiere of MARIA yesterday, a 60-minute documentary about the life of presenter Maria Cerqueira Gomes.
The event took place at the Rooftop do Carmo in Lisbon, with the presence of the Portuguese presenter as well as names such as Cayetano Rivera, Kika Cerqueira Gomes, Lucia Rivera, Luís Borges, Nuno Eiró, Carina Caldeira, and Carlos Félix.
MARIA shows the more personal and unknown side of the presenter’s life, as well as her large family of eight siblings, her grandmother Dulce, for whom she has very special affection, childhood friends, her relationship with Francisca, her eldest daughter, while also introducing her youngest son, João. Passionate about Spanish bullfighter Cayetano Rivera, in the documentary Maria also reveals how the relationship began, what she likes most about the bullfighter, and whether she would like to be a mother again.
The project also closely follows the professional career of the presenter on television, with emotional testimonies from colleagues, from Cristina Ferreira and Manuel Luís Goucha to Rúben Rua and Cláudio Ramos.
MARIA will join the growing catalogue of Portuguese content on Prime Video, which includes series such as Morangos com Açúcar, Sr. Rui, Sempre, A Lista, Os Eleitos, Lua Vermelha, Operação Maré Negra, Pôr do Sol, O Clube, PRAXX, or documentaries such as Senhor Presidente – O Campeonato de Uma Vida, Factory of Dreams: Benfica, Eu Amo o Benfica, and Quintana: Um Guerreiro Extraordinário.
