Prime Video unveils the official trailer for the new Colombian original film Los Iniciados, inspired by characters and stories from the books by renowned author Mario Mendoza. Still, the film tells a different story.
The cast includes names like Andrés Parra (El Presidente), Juan Pablo Urrego (MANES), Aria Jara, Jorge Cao (Pasión de Gavilanes), Ana Wills (La Venganza de Analía), Francisco Denis (Jack Ryan de Tom Clancy) and Patricia Tamayo (Las Hermanitas Calle), who will play well-known, diverse and powerful characters from Mendoza’s literary universe. The film will premiere on July 7, 2023, exclusively on Prime Video in over 240 countries and territories worldwide as part of a Prime membership. The thriller is an AG Studios production, written by Nicolás Serrano (Distrito Salvaje, El Robo del Siglo, Frontera Verde) and Esteban Orozco (MalaYerba, Distrito Salvaje), and directed by Juan Felipe Orozco (Saluda al diablo de mi parte ). Produced by Rodrigo Guerrero (Jungle), and with the special participation of Mario Mendoza as executive producer, the film takes place in the near future, in a city where clean water is rationed and where there is a power struggle for its control.
