The new season will adapt the second part of the literary saga Versos, canciones y trocitos de carne, written by César Pérez Gellida, winner of the 2024 Nadal Prize. This intense crime thriller will be available exclusively on Prime Video as part of the Prime subscription.
Prime Video subscribers in Portugal can enjoy deals, free shipping and entertainment, all in a single subscription for just €4.99 per month or €49.90 per year.
Produced by Zebra Producciones (Grupo iZen), the second season continues the duel between Augusto (Yon González) and inspector Sancho (Francisco Ortiz), who will try to stop the killer after fleeing with Erika (Olivia Baglivi) from Valladolid. The obsession to stop him will push Sancho to the limit, while Augusto continues his poetic and deadly work. Meanwhile, Carapocha (Juan Echanove) races against the clock to save his daughter from the killer’s clutches. Gracia Galo (Anna Favella), an intelligent Italian inspector with great emotional stability, joins this story, and her mission is to balance Sancho.
Memento Mori was filmed in Madrid, the Canary Islands, Trieste (Italy) and Valladolid, the city where the author César Pérez Gellida was inspired to write the novels.
The second season consists of five 45-minute episodes and features Jose Velasco (El Cid), Sara Fernández-Velasco (Memento Mori), Luis Arranz (Memento Mori), Marco A. Castillo (Memento Mori) and Ibón Celaya as executive producers, Marco A. Castillo and Fran Parra as directors, and Luis Moreno, Cristina Pons (Day One) and Luis Arranz as screenwriters.
