Prime Video reveals that the fifth season of Morangos Com Açúcar
premieres January 27th
Prime Video and TVI reveal today that the fifth season of the successful reboot Morangos com Açúcar premieres on January 27th. The trailer for the new episodes, which are available in full on Prime Video and will be released weekly on TVI, was also revealed. The sixth season is already confirmed.

In the fifth season, the perpetrator of the harassment crimes at school was unmasked and peace returned to the school. However, the real aggressor remains at large, enjoying total impunity and is preparing to take power by storm, as director of the school. Only Ema knows the truth, but she lacks the courage to report it.
The cast is once again made up of new talent, coming from the public castings held in recent months, but also by young promises, some returns from previous seasons of the reboot and some iconic faces from the original series.
Beatriz Frazão (Morangos com Açúcar – reboot), Tomás Taborda (Morangos com Açúcar reboot), António Van Zeller (Morangos com Açúcar – reboot) and Oskar de la Fuente (Morangos com Açúcar – reboot). Also joining this group are names such as Kim Ostrwoskij (Vanette), Diogo Nobre (Espelho d´Água), Mariana Venâncio (Amor Amor), Afonso Laginha (Os Eleitos), Maria Arrais (Rua das Flores), Frederico Barata (Queridos Papás) and Ricardo Reis. Francisca Frazão (Para Sempre), Sebastião Varaine (Pôr do Sol) Susana Luz and Alberto Batista also come from the public casting.
From the original cast for the new seasons, Dalila Carmo (João Sem Deus), returns, joining Tiago Castro (Fascínios) e Vítor Fonseca (Doida por Ti). The series also stars Maya Booth (Para Sempre), Miriam Freeland (Detetives do Prédio Azul), Tiago Fernandes (Morangos com Açúcar – reboot) and Erica Rodrigues (Morangos com Açúcar – reboot).
The new season of Morangos com Açúcar will join Prime Video’s growing catalogue of Portuguese content, which includes series such as Tony, Sr. Rui, Operação Maré Negra, Pôr do Sol, O Clube, PRAXX, A Lista, Os Eleitos or documentaries such as MARIA, Mr President – The Championship of a Lifetime, Fábrica de Sonhos: Benfica, Eu Amo o Benfica and Quintana: Um Guerreiro Extraordinário.
