Prime Video has revealed the teaser trailer and official poster for the new original film, Heads of State, premiering exclusively on July 2 in over 240 countries and territories as part of Prime membership.

The action comedy stars Idris Elba (Luther, Thor: Ragnarok), John Cena (Esquadrão Suicida, Ricky Stanicky) and Priyanka Chopra Jonas (Citadel, Baywatch: Os Vigilantes da Praia). The cast is completed by Paddy Considine, Stephen Root, Carla Gugino, Jack Quaid, and Sarah Niles.
In this action comedy, British Prime Minister Sam Clarke (Idris Elba) and U.S. President Will Derringer (John Cena) have an unfriendly and public rivalry that jeopardises their countries’ “special relationship.” But when they become the target of a powerful and ruthless foreign adversary, one that proves to be a match for both leaders’ security forces, they are forced to rely on each other. Teaming up with the brilliant MI6 agent Noel Bisset (Priyanka Chopra Jonas), they must go on the run and find a way to work together to stop a global conspiracy that threatens the entire free world.
The film, which combines fast-paced action sequences and creative stunts with a heavy dose of nostalgia, is directed by Ilya Naishuller (Hardcore Henry, Nobody) and produced by Peter Safran, p.g.a. and John Rickard, p.g.a. and, Marcus Viscidi, Josh Appelbaum, André Nemec, John Cena, Idris Elba, as executive producers.
