The best Portuguese junior surfers head to Viana do Castelo on the 18th and 19th of May, for the second of four stages of the Junior Tour 2024, a circuit that defines the U20 national champions and brings together the emerging talents of national surfing.
The competition table for the initial rounds is now available, and the call for the first day of the competition is planned for 8 am on Praia da Arda, in Viana do Castelo.

Martim Nunes and Maria Salgado reached this stage leading the men’s and women’s rankings, respectively, after the triumphs achieved in the inaugural stage.

Minho’s new-generation surfers will have the opportunity to compete in front of their audience and seek to take advantage of the local knowledge of the waves in Viana do Castelo, one of the most dynamic surfing centres in Portugal.

The second stage of the Junior Tour is a competition organized by the Surf Clube de Viana and the National Surfers Association, with the collaboration of the Viana do Castelo City Council, the Portuguese Youth Institute, the Sports Foundation and the technical support of the Portuguese Surfing Federation.
