Qatar Airways will celebrate this festive season with special moments that promise to surprise and delight all passengers, onboard and on land.
Passengers departing to and from Qatar Airways destinations in the United States, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand, and selected destinations in Asia and Africa, will enjoy the airline’s festivities from December 19 through 26.
Business Class passengers, as soon as they arrive onboard, will be greeted with a seasonal welcome drink and a Festive Menu, specially designed to order, with a range of tasty dishes, including smoked salmon tartare with roasted scallops with pink pepper, beet, and ikura roe, beef wellington with mashed potato with turmeric, grilled sweet potato, pumpkin, oyster mushrooms, and beef jus, and a spicy raspberry chocolate dome for dessert.
Premium customers will also have festive notes, including a set of napkins and cutlery adorned for the occasion and a hot chocolate with marshmallows. Passengers can get in the mood with the extensive collection of films alluding to the time on the Oryx One Inflight Entertainment system, and enjoy the airline’s turndown service when it’s time to rest, with the added comfort of the limited edition of pillows decorated with a message “Seasons Greetings”.
The Economy cabin will be dressed in festively decorated headrest covers and passengers will also have the opportunity to enjoy a delicious seasonal menu that includes turkey chasseur and turmeric mashed potato with main dish, and christmas for dessert.
Qatar Airways introduced festive decorations for the first time at Al Mourjan Business Class Lounge at Hamad International Airport. Passengers can delight in the seasonal decoration reflected in the floral arrangements, in the display of gift boxes, and in a delicious variety of festive delicacies present in the buffet, or select from the special digital à la carte menu.
For passengers who want to embrace the spirit of the season, a large common table with stunning decorations is available, including table markers, bread baskets, and napkin rings inspired by the festive season. Passengers can share a special meal that can include waldorf salad, stuffed turkey roulade, wellingtion steak, yule log, gourmet hot chocolate with toasted marshmallows, signature mocktails, and more.
The Chief Executive of the Qatar Airways Group, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker, said: “This year has been incredibly challenging as a result of the pandemic. That is why we are investing more effort than ever in our festive activities on board and at HIA, to bring the joy of flying back. In the coming weeks, tens of thousands of passengers will travel with us for holidays or to visit family and friends abroad and our goal is to continue to bring family and friends together and make their travels even more memorable in this special season”.
When traveling with Qatar Airways during the festive season, all passengers can expect the highest levels of safety throughout their journey. Security measures onboard the airline involve the provision of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the crew and a complementary protection kit with disposable masks for passengers.
Business-class customers on Qsuite-equipped airplanes can enjoy the enhanced privacy that this seat provides, which includes sliding privacy dividers and the option to use a “Do Not Disturb“ (DND) indicator.
